Jitsi – Open Source Web Conferencing

I posted before about a free conferencing system that is free to use up to a point. Since then I found one called Jitsi and it really is free and open source as well. Even better it is extremely easy to use. You just go to https://meet.jit.si/ and type a meeting name and send the link to anyone to you want to join in. No one has to install any 3rd party plugins unlike something like Zoom. Screen sharing is available for anyone in the meeting.

You are not required to setup an account but if you do you can connect your Google or Microsoft calendar. There are also Android and iOS mobile apps as well. It’s easiest web conferencing system I’ve ever used. I wish I would have found it sooner.

For developers, go to https://jitsi.org/projects/ for ideas to use in any communication related apps. The people behind the Jitsi project deserve all the praise in the world even it is another goofy open-source name.
